A few tips to help you get the most out of your experience.
- Speed Listen
This is a great option for people who absorb new information quickly. Even though speed listening only saves a few seconds incrementally, those extra seconds add up quick over the course of a few hours.
- Make It Part of Your Routine
The beauty of audio books, is that you can listen just about anywhere. Walking the dog, eating breakfast, driving to an appointment or getting ready for bed? These are all great time to squeeze in some listening. Just make it part of your routine. Good habits are iportant in life!
- Break It Into Chunks
Instead of setting a 60-minute reading goal, try to set four, 15-minute goals. With work, family and friends, it’s a lot easier to find a few 15-minute windows than it is to find a full hour block.
- Start a Club
We all know it’s easier to be accountable if other people are involved. If you know someone who is struggling with reading goals, start an audio book club. It’s the same concept as a traditional book club and will help keep you on track.
