Glen Oaks Escrow’s Elvia Zerwekh Elected President of NAHREP San Diego
Pango Group is proud to announce that Elvia Zerwekh, of Glen Oaks Escrow, has been elected President of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) San Diego. NAHREP’s mission is to increase the rate of sustainable Hispanic homeownership by empowering the real estate professionals that serve the community.
Elvia first became a member of NAHREP Las Vegas in 2008, and was actively involved with national conventions, monthly educational luncheons, and other community-related events within the organization. With NAHREP’s national headquarters based in San Diego, Elvia was soon asked to help create and organize the new San Diego chapter. Due to her strong financial background, Elvia was given the role as Treasurer, and has recently been unanimously elected President by the board.
“I am very excited to take on my new role as President of NAHREP San Diego,” Elvia noted, “ I enjoy everyone on the board and am very much looking forward to our national convention in Los Angeles this September”. Elvia continues to serve the financial needs of all Glen Oaks Escrow branches in addition to her new role as President of NAHREP.

Business Development Manager, Roubina Der Sarkissian, Honored at the 12th Annual Women in Business Awards
Pango Group is pleased to announce that Business Development Manager, Roubina Der Sarkissian, has been selected as an Honoree for the 12th Annual Women in Business Awards. The Women in Business Awards honor local women whose exceptional abilities have contributed to the economic vitality and diversity of the 21st Senate District and/or 43rd and 44th Assembly Districts. The Women in Business ceremony celebrates women who have contributed to the greater good of the workforce through the advancement of business while serving as role models for the community and co-workers.
Roubina Der Sarkissian was nominated for the Tami Ginsburg Award by the Armenian American Chamber of Commerce. Nominees are competitively selected from a pool of candidates by the three Legislator’s offices based on their merits. This award, which is presented to a female employee, in any field and at any level, is given to those who have demonstrated exemplary skills and leadership. The Tami Ginsburg Award highlights Roubina’s significant professional accomplishments as well as her outstanding commitment to the community.

The Glendale Chamber of Commerce Honors Glen Oaks Escrow President, Scott Akerley, with the 2011 President’s Award
Pango Group is proud to announce that the 2011 President’s Award was awarded to Scott Akerley, President of Glen Oaks Escrow, by the Glendale Chamber of Commerce today.
The President’s Award is given to one who has given “ongoing support and outstanding service” to the Glendale Chamber of Commerce. Since his presidency in 2004-2005, Scott has continued to serve on the Board as a valuable resource and co-chair of the Building and Strategic Planning Committees.
Scott also serves on the Glendale Community College Foundation Board and actively supports Soroptimist International of Glendale and other local organizations. He is a former Glendale Businessman of the Year, and Glen Oaks Escrow has been voted Best Escrow Company for the past 12 years by the community.

CV Escrow Announces Palm Springs Office Re-location

Burbank Board of Realtors Honors Glen Oaks Escrow’s Shelley Valencia with the 2010 President’s Award
Pango Group is pleased to announce that the 2010 President’s Award was awarded to Glen Oaks Escrow’s Director of Business Development, Shelley Valencia, by the Burbank Board of Realtors on December 9, 2010.
The President’s Award is given to one who was “instrumental in helping the President and Association throughout the year”, said 2009 President, Chris Habitz, who presented Shelley with the award. “What do you say about someone who does so much? She is an extraordinary person, continually going above and beyond what is expected of her.”

This is the first time Shelley has been honored with the President’s Award. “I am so excited, it is just a huge honor to receive this,” she said. Shelley has previously been awarded “Affiliate of the Year” in Burbank (2009), Glendale (2007), and the Santa Clarita Valley (2002).
Shelley continues to do an outstanding job in representing Glen Oaks Escrow. “I just want to congratulate Shelley. She has done an amazing job with the Burbank Board of Realtors over the past six years,” said Scott Akerley, President of Glen Oaks Escrow.

Burbank Board of Realtors Honors Glen Oaks Escrow’s Shelley Valencia with the 2009 Affiliate of the Year Award

No stranger to awards, Shelley earned Glendale’s Affiliate of the Year in 2007 and also Affiliate of the Year for Santa Clarita in 2007. “I’ve been with Glen Oaks Escrow for five years and really see how important it is to have hands-on leadership,” she said. “The company has assembled a remarkable group of professionals, and it’s a very positive and supportive environment.”
When she’s not spending countless hours fund-raising or attending board planning meetings, Shelley enjoys cooking, country dancing with her husband and hanging out with her two daughters, Alex and Jordan.

Pango Group Announces Sally Barrera to Supervise San Gabriel Valley Expansion Effort
In the spirit of providing the highest escrow service standards in California, Pango Group is expanding into the San Gabriel Valley region. Overseeing the effort is new hire, Sally Barrera, Director of Business Development. Barrera comes to the post with a wealth of knowledge in the title industry and nearly two decades of experience.
“Over the years, I’ve come to know Pango Group by their reputation,” Sally commented. “The organization is first and foremost about great service. They have some of the best escrow officers in the business, and I’m honored to be part of this team. Opening new doors here in the San Gabriel Valley will be very rewarding.”
